Wedeven Associates has developed unique tribology testing machines and test methodologies and has served industrial needs for over 14 years. The company, located in Edgmont, Pennsylvania, has a combined floor space of about 5,500 square feet. The facility is divided into areas for offices, test cells, instrumentation, failure analysis, design, machine shop, machine assembly, library and conference room.

Four test cells house test machines for flexible tribology testing with rolling/sliding motion (WAM3 and WAM4), high stress operation (WAMhs), sliding contact simulations (WAMsc), and fretting contact simulation (PinRig).

Failure analysis equipment includes several optical microscopes with digital imaging, video recording, micro-hardness and surface roughness equipment, and ADE  Phase Shift instrumentation. All test machines, offices and analysis stations are linked to a local area network with a server. The conference area serves for business/technical meetings and educational courses.
